Tokyo Disney Premier Access and Happy Entry (2026): How They Work and When They're Worth It
Tokyo Disney Resort has two ways to cut your waiting: Disney Premier Access, which you pay for ride by ride in the app, and Happy Entry, which comes free with a Disney Hotel stay. Neither is needed to ride anything; every attraction can be done by queueing.
The verdict: Premier Access is worth it for one or two rides you really care about on a busy day. You can't buy it in advance or from an agency, only in the app after you enter the park.

What exactly is Disney Premier Access?
It is a paid, timed entry. In the app you choose an eligible attraction (or a parade or show) and a time slot, pay, and come back at that time to use a much shorter line. Numbers are limited and it can sell out, so check the app early.
Premier Access "can be purchased after entering the park", in the app, by choosing the attraction or show and a time slot.
You can buy only as many as you have park tickets, and only for the park you entered. Buying one for an attraction doesn't stop you buying one for a show.

How to buy Premier Access in the app
- Before the day: install the Tokyo Disney Resort App and link everyone's park ticket. Once everyone in the group has entered, one phone can book for all the linked tickets. Tickets of people not yet inside can't be selected.
- Enter the park. Premier Access can't be bought before you scan in, and only for the park you're in.Everything here runs on mobile data. A Japan eSIM saves you hunting for Wi-Fi in the park.Compare Japan eSIMs on Klook ↗
- Open Disney Premier Access in the app and choose a ride or show.
- Pick a time slot and the people, then pay. Payment methods are listed on the official in-park payment page.
- Come back in your time slot and use the Premier Access entrance. At the entrance, scan the park tickets of everyone in your group, or the code shown in your app.
Is Premier Access worth it?
One must-do ride with a long wait
If the app shows a long wait for the ride you most want, paying for that one ride can save a big part of your day.
Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea
Fantasy Springs is the area with Frozen, Rapunzel and Peter Pan rides. Its rides can be done by queueing, or with Premier Access sold separately.
A quiet weekday
If the app shows short waits, queue and keep the money.
Rides you don't care much about
Every person in your group needs their own Premier Access, so the cost multiplies by the size of your group.
What are Standby Pass and Entry Request?
Both are free and in the app. A Standby Pass gives you a time to join the normal queue for venues that need one; on days it's used, you can't enter that venue without it. An Entry Request is a free draw for some venues, such as shows, once per day per venue.
What is Happy Entry, and who gets it?
Our verdict: a nice bonus if you'd stay at a Disney hotel anyway. As the only reason to book one, it's expensive for a few minutes of head start.
Common questions
Can I buy Premier Access before my trip, or on Klook?
No. The official FAQ says it is bought in the app after entering the park. It describes no other way to buy it, so treat any advance "Premier Access" offer with suspicion.
Can I buy it for Tokyo DisneySea while I'm in Tokyo Disneyland?
No, only for the park you entered.
What about my 3-year-old?
Children 3 and under don't need their own when they're with an adult who has one.
Before your Disney day
Get the park ticket first, link it in the app, sort out mobile data, and decide on the one or two rides worth paying for. Buy Premier Access as soon as you're through the gate.
