Pokémon Center Tokyo (2026): Which Store to Visit, Queues, Numbered Tickets and Card Limits
You don't need a ticket or a booking to walk into a Pokémon Center in Tokyo. On busy days, though, a store may hand out numbered tickets or limit entry, and popular items can come with purchase limits. That's from the stores' own FAQ.
If you can only go to one, MEGA TOKYO in Ikebukuro has the most next to it: Pikachu Sweets, the Pokémon Card Station and Pokémon GO Lab. We checked the official store pages on Nov 7, 2026.
Some links on this page are affiliate links. Pokémon Centers themselves don't sell tickets; nothing here is needed to get in.
Which Pokémon Center in Tokyo should you go to?
Pokémon Center MEGA TOKYO
Sunshine City Alpa 2F. Next door: Pikachu Sweets by Pokémon Cafe, the Pokémon Card Station and Pokémon GO Lab. 8 min from JR Ikebukuro, 3 min from Higashi-Ikebukuro (Yurakucho Line). Closes earlier than the others.
Pokémon Center SHIBUYA
Shibuya PARCO 6F, 5 min from Shibuya Station. Nintendo TOKYO is on the same floor, so it's the easiest double visit.
Pokémon Center TOKYO DX
Nihombashi Takashimaya S.C. East Building 5F, 5 min from Tokyo Station's Yaesu North exit. The Pokémon Cafe is in the same building, but it's booking only.
Pokémon Center SKYTREE TOWN
Tokyo Solamachi, East Yard 4F, right by Oshiage and Tokyo Skytree stations. Easy to combine with the tower.
There's also a smaller Pokémon Store inside Tokyo Station (First Avenue 1F) and one at Narita Terminal 1, handy for last-minute gifts.
Do you need a numbered ticket (seiriken) to get in?
Only when a store decides to use them. The official FAQ says that, depending on crowds, a store may issue numbered tickets or restrict entry, and that the latest details go on the News page or can be asked by phone.
- Check the store's News page the night before. Each store page on the official site has its own News and Events section.
- If a notice says tickets are being issued, follow it. It tells you where and when they're handed out. Go early.
- Do what your ticket and the staff tell you. Keep the ticket until you're inside the store.
The MEGA TOKYO and Shibuya store pages listed "No matching news found": no numbered-ticket notice for that day.
The FAQ confirmed numbered tickets and entry limits are possible, with no fixed schedule.
Can you buy Pokémon card packs at the store?
Sometimes. The FAQ says quantity limits may apply to some items, there are no holds, and stores don't share restock dates. For a new card set, check the store's News page and Pokémon Center Online before release day to see how it will be sold.

Where people get stuck
The queue is huge and there's a ticket system
Take a ticket and do something nearby: in Shibuya, Nintendo TOKYO; in Ikebukuro, the rest of Sunshine City.
The item I wanted is sold out
Stores don't give restock dates or hold items. Try another Pokémon Center the same day.
Can I book the Pokémon Cafe at the store?
No. The cafe is online booking only, released a month at a time. How to book →
Can you visit all four in one day?
Yes, if you start early. A sensible order is Skytree Town at 10:00, Tokyo DX next, then Shibuya, with MEGA TOKYO last only if you'll be there before 20:00. Otherwise put MEGA TOKYO first.
Tokyo Subway Ticket
Unlimited Tokyo Metro and Toei rides for 24, 48 or 72 hours (adult ¥1,000 / ¥1,500 / ¥2,000). The 24-hour pass pays off at about six rides at the ¥180 minimum fare, so count your rides first.

Check the News page of the store you plan to visit the night before. If it says nothing, just walk in. If you're after new cards, the store's News page and Pokémon Center Online say how they'll be sold.
