Kamakura and Enoshima Day Trip from Tokyo (2026): Route, Passes and a Plan
Kamakura and Enoshima make an easy day trip from Tokyo, and you don't need to book anything. Coming from Shinjuku, buy the Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass (¥1,640): it covers the Odakyu return and unlimited Enoden rides between Fujisawa and Kamakura. Coming from Tokyo Station on JR, get the ¥800 Enoden day pass instead.
On 6 November 2026 we read the pass pages on Odakyu's and Enoden's official sites, and the fees and hours on Kotoku-in's (Great Buddha) and Hasedera's official sites.
Some links on this page are affiliate links. Odakyu sells the Freepass itself at station machines and on EMot, so compare before you book.
Which way should I go?
Odakyu to Fujisawa or Katase-Enoshima
Start at Enoshima, ride the Enoden to Kamakura, and come back by Enoden to Fujisawa and Odakyu: the Freepass covers all of that. JR from Kamakura is not covered.
JR to Kamakura
The JR Yokosuka Line goes straight to Kamakura, no change. Pay with your IC card, then buy the ¥800 Enoden day pass at Kamakura.
Hakone Kamakura Pass
¥8,520 for 3 days: all Odakyu lines, Hakone transport and the Enoden. Only worth it if you do both trips.
Which pass is worth it?
