Itami Airport to Osaka (2026): Limousine Bus or Monorail + Hankyu?
Itami (Osaka International Airport) is Osaka's airport for domestic flights only, much closer to central Osaka than Kansai Airport. The simple answer is the airport limousine bus: it goes straight to Osaka Station (Umeda), Namba, Shin-Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe. No booking needed.
On a tight budget, ride the Osaka Monorail one stop to Hotarugaike and change to the Hankyu line for Umeda. We read the bus fares and times on Hankyu Kanko Bus's official airport limousine pages and the rules on Osaka Monorail's site on 6 November 2026. The monorail + Hankyu fare comes from Osaka Monorail's and Hankyu's official fare tables.

Only for Umeda, and only if you travel light. The monorail + Hankyu route saves ¥290 per person and isn't affected by traffic. With a big suitcase, the bus is the better ride: one seat, luggage underneath, no stairs.
For Namba, Shin-Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe, the bus is the simplest choice: one ride with no changes.
How to take the airport bus
Find your bus stop
Follow the airport's signs to the limousine bus stops. Check the destination on the stop's sign before you queue.
Buy a ticket, or skip it with a card
Buy a ticket at the automatic machine at the stop, or from the staff. With an IC card (ICOCA, Suica and the other nationwide cards) you don't need a ticket: just join the queue. Every bus also takes contactless bank cards on board.
Big bags go underneath
Large bags go in the luggage hold. Keep valuables with you.
How to take the monorail and Hankyu
