Kansai Airport to Osaka (2026): Nankai rapi:t, HARUKA or Airport Bus?

Pick by where you're sleeping. Staying in Namba or Shinsaibashi? Nankai is the direct line: the rapi:t in as little as 34 minutes, or the cheaper Airport Express in about 45. Umeda or Shin-Osaka? JR's HARUKA goes there, and visitors get a discounted one-way ticket. Tired, with big bags? The airport bus to Osaka Station is ¥1,800 and takes about an hour.

We read the fares on Nankai's, JR West's and Kansai Airport Transportation Enterprise's official pages on 7 November 2026. JR West changed the HARUKA One-way Ticket prices for tickets sold from 1 November 2026.

Heading to Shin-Osaka or Osaka Station? The HARUKA One-way Ticket for visitors is ¥1,900 and can only be bought before you arrive.

Yes, if your hotel is near Osaka Station, Shin-Osaka or Tennoji, or you're going on to Kyoto. At ¥1,900 to Shin-Osaka it's close to the bus price and avoids traffic.

For Namba it's the wrong train. Nankai goes straight there, and the Airport Express has no seat fee: you pay just the train fare.

Bus: buy at the counter or machine

Buy the ticket before boarding. Osaka Station buses don't take reservations. Late-night buses accept cashless payment only.

What if…?

…I land late at night?

The airport bus runs late buses to Osaka Station, cashless only, and doesn't add extra buses when full. Check the last train times on Nankai's and JR West's timetables before you fly.

…I didn't buy the HARUKA ticket before flying?

You can't buy it in Japan. Take Nankai to Namba, the JR Kansai Airport Rapid, or the bus instead.

…I'm staying near USJ?

The Airport Limousine runs a route to Nanko, Tempozan and Universal Studios Japan.
