Tokyo Tower Tickets (2026): Main Deck or Top Deck Tour, Prices, and Do You Need to Book?

For the Main Deck (150 m), you don't need to plan much: it's ¥1,500 for adults online or at the counter, and it's open until 23:00. Buy the Top Deck Tour (250 m) online, where it's ¥200 cheaper. The Diamond Tour is limited to 70 people a day, and the official site says buying it online guarantees your place.

Most people

Main Deck (150 m)

¥1,500. Open late, and the price is the same online and at the counter. Fine for a quick look or a night view.

Worth it if you care about the view

Top Deck Tour (150 m + 250 m)

¥3,300 online. A visit to the 250 m Top Deck plus the Main Deck. Buy online: it's ¥200 more at the counter.

Special occasion

Tokyo Diamond Tour

¥7,000. Top Deck, Main Deck and a lounge. Only 70 places a day; the official site says buying online guarantees your entry.

The Top Deck Tour and Diamond Tour can be cancelled in bad weather or for other reasons, so keep an eye on the forecast if you book days ahead.

Do I need to book Tokyo Tower in advance?

For the Main Deck, not really. It costs the same online and at the counter, so you can buy it when you arrive. The official ticket page suggests buying ahead for a smoother entry.

For the Top Deck Tour, buy online for the ¥200 saving. The official pages don't say how far ahead tickets go on sale, so once your date is fixed, check the ticket site for it.

Tokyo Tower's own prices are fixed, so the comparison is simple: if an agency sells the Main Deck below ¥1,500 on your date, it's a saving; if not, buy from the official site or at the counter. Agency tickets have their own cancellation rules.

How to buy a Top Deck Tour ticket online

Open the official ticket page and choose the Top Deck Tour web purchase. The ticket page has separate buttons for Main Deck, Top Deck Tour and Diamond Tour.
Pick your date and the number of tickets. Prices are set separately for adults, high school students, elementary and junior high students, and children aged 4 and over.
Pay and keep the ticket on your phone. Check the date and details on your ticket before you set off.

Is Tokyo Tower worth it, or should I go up Skytree instead?

Go to Tokyo Tower for the classic red tower and a central location; it's 7 minutes on foot from Kamiyacho, the station for Azabudai Hills. Go to Skytree for the greater height: its Tembo Galleria is at 450 m, against 250 m for Tokyo Tower's Top Deck.

Tokyu bus To 98 from Marunouchi South, about 20 minutes, then 2 minutes on foot
