Yokohama: What to Book Before You Go (2026)
Yokohama is a short train ride from central Tokyo and works as a day trip or a quieter base. Almost nothing needs booking: the Cup Noodles Museum, Chinatown and the waterfront are all walk-in.
Two things to know before you plan. The Landmark Tower's Sky Garden observation deck is closed for building works until 2028 or later, and the Cup Noodles Museum is closed on Tuesdays. We read the official pages for the prices below on 6 November 2026.

What do you need to book before you go to Yokohama?
How does the Cup Noodles Museum work?
Admission is ¥500 for adults and free for high school students and younger. Hours are 10:00–18:00, last entry 17:00. It is 8 minutes on foot from Minatomirai or Bashamichi station and 12 minutes from Sakuragicho.

- Get a My CUPNOODLES Factory ticket Design your own cup and pick one soup from four and four toppings from twelve. It's ¥500 a cup, one per person. Take a numbered ticket inside unless you bought the online ticket with a factory slot.
- Reserve the Chicken Ramen Factory if you want it Make noodles from flour, about 70 minutes. Book online or by phone. Elementary school age and up, done in pairs, so one person can't book alone.
Do you need a pass to get around Yokohama?
The sights from Yokohama Station to Chinatown sit along the Minatomirai Line. If you ride more than twice, the 1-day pass is the easy choice.
From Tokyo, take JR from Tokyo Station or the Tokyu Toyoko Line from Shibuya; Toyoko Line trains run through onto the Minatomirai Line. Yokohama day trip plan →
Where can you get a view now the Sky Garden is closed?
The Landmark Tower's Sky Garden has stopped operating for large-scale building repairs and plans to reopen in 2028 or later. Older guides may still list it.
Yokohama Air Cabin
A short urban ropeway over the harbour. ¥1,000 one way. Closing time varies by day and weather, so check the official calendar.
Shibuya Sky or Tokyo Skytree
For a high-rise observation deck, plan it for your Tokyo days.
Is Klook Pass Yokohama worth it?
It bundles a choice of Yokohama attractions; the product page lists which ones. It only pays off if the tickets you would buy anyway cost more than the pass. The free sights (Chinatown, Red Brick Warehouse, Yamashita Park) don't count.
Check the list on the day you buy and leave out anything that is closed, such as the Landmark Tower Sky Garden.
