Ghibli Park Tickets (2026): Premium vs Standard, When They Go on Sale, and What If They're Sold Out
Ghibli Park in Aichi sells tickets online only, two months ahead, and nothing is sold at the gate except a few same-day building tickets.
The verdict: if you're a real fan, book the Premium pass at 14:00 Japan time on release day. Klook is one of the two overseas sellers the park lists, next to Lawson Ticket, so it's an official route. Compare the final price on both before you pay. If your date sells out, a hotel or tour package that includes the pass is the fallback.

When do Ghibli Park tickets go on sale?
On the 10th of each month at 14:00 Japan time, for the whole month two months later. So for a visit in March, you book on January 10. Each ticket type can be bought once per month, with up to six tickets per purchase. The park notes that sale dates can change.

ghibli-park.jp/en/calendar: weekdays 10:00–17:00, weekends and holidays 9:00–17:00. The service charge added when tickets are issued is not stated as an amount.
Premium or Standard: which pass should you buy?
O-Sanpo Day Pass Premium
All five areas, including Hill of Youth and Dondoko Forest, and inside the buildings in the Valley of Witches, such as Howl's Castle. ¥7,300 weekdays, ¥7,800 weekends.
O-Sanpo Day Pass Standard
Grand Warehouse, Mononoke Village and Valley of Witches. Buildings in the valley cost extra on the day (Howl's Castle ¥1,000). ¥3,300 weekdays, ¥3,800 weekends.
If you're travelling a long way for this, take Premium. Standard plus the same-day building tickets costs less, but those tickets aren't guaranteed and are sold until 16:30 only. Weekdays are ¥500 cheaper on both passes.
How do you book on release day?
Both official channels open at the same moment. Pick one, and have your card and passport details ready before 14:00 Japan time.
- Log in to Lawson Ticket (overseas page) or Klook a few minutes early. Creating an account at 14:00 loses you time.
- Choose your date, the pass, and a Grand Warehouse entry time. The Grand Warehouse is the only area with a set time. Enter within one hour of it.
- Enter each visitor's name exactly as in their passport. The name holder must come and may be asked for ID. Tickets can't be transferred, even as a gift.
- Pay, then save the ticket on your phone. No changes or refunds after this, so double-check the date first. You'll need data for the e-ticket and the Linimo route on the day.Compare Japan eSIMs ↗

Which rules catch visitors out?
- No refunds, and no changes to date, time, pass type or number of tickets.
- The name holder must be there with ID. Bring your passport.
- Groups of seven or more must split into groups of six or fewer, each with its own applicant.
- Re-entry: Premium holders can re-enter each area, but the Grand Warehouse only after 15:00.
- Last entry to the areas is 16:30, and the park closes at 17:00.
- Check closed days on the park's official calendar before you pick a date.
Sold out: what are your real options?
Ghibli Park's own tickets can't be bought at the park, so once your date is gone, a package that includes the pass is the fallback. They cost more than the pass alone, because you're paying for the hotel, bus or train as well.
Ghibli Park pass + hotel or bus tour
The park's ticket page names KKday among the agencies that sell bundles with accommodation, and Klook lists tours and packages on its Ghibli Park page. Check which pass (Premium or Standard) is included.

Is Ghibli Park worth the trip?
For Ghibli fans, yes: it's a set of film worlds spread across the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park, and you walk between the areas. The park's FAQ lists only two rides, the Carousel and the Flying Machine in the Valley of Witches, each at a separate fee. If you want a ride-focused theme park, it isn't that kind of place.
If you're short on time and already going to Tokyo, the Ghibli Museum is the easier choice. If you're passing through Nagoya anyway, the Premium pass covers all five areas.
What else can you book in Nagoya?

On the other side of Nagoya. Dated online tickets from ¥4,900.
